When staff meeting are conference calls.

The end of the meeting is completely different. In a traditional staff meeting, the administrator will close the meeting. Staff will approach the admin for their own issues. Other staff will hang out and talk to each other. That hang out time is a bonding connecting time. Early arrivals can have that same connecting time.

On a conference call, the admin closes the call and CLICK. It's all over. It's a really disconnecting feeling.

If I ran a program there would still be one morning a week we would get together face to face to build those connections.  We have planned on doing that once a week for September. Personally I hope it continues.
